The bayonet is strong, but the sword is stronger- What struck me when I first started playing was that most of my opponents had seemed to forget their Warband roots. Not standing in the open like you're at Waterloo (Unless you're in a line Battle event, obviously) This is realistic 19th century warfare with a 21st century mindset, you should behave like a guerrilla, hiding and popping out to take a shot.

Bushes, trees, even a small rock that you can use to cover up part of your body can be usedful. When you are in the open it should be because you're moving to another piece of cover. Having played about 10 hours so far I thought i'd share some tips from my experience, most should be fairly obvious but hopefully they'll help someone. Napoleonic Wars has outdone most of those mods and done some unique stuff. I've played many musket mods for Mount & Blade, and always thought they were neat but not worth getting into.
